Whether you're picking up a stick for the first time or already love the game,junior hockey is about fun, friendship, and skill-building on the turf! Our HUHC Junior Club helps young players learn, grow, and enjoy the sport in a supportive and encouraging environment. With exciting games, dedicated coaches, and great team spirit, there’s a place for everyone no matter your experience level. Let’s make some amazing hockey memories together!

FEES 2026: Year 1 & 2 $65 (TBC) - Year 3 & 4 $90 - Year 5 & 6 $120 - Year 7 & 8 $135
Junior registrations closed Saturday 4 April.
We've made up teams and will be contacting whanau during the weekend of 18/19 April.
If your child is Yr1/2 please register for Funsticks via Wellington Hockey here
then come along Saturday 8am at Fraser Park.
If your Year 3-8 child wants to play but is not yet registered, please fill out the late registration
request (click below) - we're now waitlisting requests and may be able to
enter extra teams for a late start mid-term 2 - no promises sorry.

No Games Played: Kings Birthday (Saturday 30 May), July School Holidays (4 and 11 July), and Open Grade Finals Weekend (22 August).

END OF YEAR 8?
To play up to and including Year 8 register your child via HUHC (or any club). From Year 9,players register via their school. Wellington Hockey Association (WHA) organise Junior Hockey across the Wellington region.

GAME TIMES
Fun Sticks (Years 1 & 2): Time TBC (expect early) - all sessions at Fraser Park
Mini Sticks (Years 3 & 4): 10:00am, 10:15am, 10:30am - all games at Fraser Park
Kiwi Sticks (Years 5 & 6): 9:00am and 10:00am - Games at Fraser or Maidstone (Upper Hutt)
Kwik Sticks (Years 7 & 8): Predominantly 11 AM with earliest start at 10:00am
Any Kapiti based games at 10:45am or at 9:45am
Games are located at these Turfs:
Fraser, Maidstone (Upper Hutt), Wellington NHS or Kapiti
WHA times may change these set times depending on number of team entries
